Fashion Week
Fashion Week kicked off in New York yesterday, so I’ve decided to host my own Fashion Week here on Almstreet. Mine, however, will not include models, celebrities, or amazing after parties with lots of free alcohol. Sorry. It will include some really cute purchases that I have recently made and need an excuse to share, hence Fashion Week on Almstreet.
I begin with one of my favorite new skirts. This skirt has so much to offer. It has lots of different colors which make it very versatile to pair with different shirts, tights, shoes, etc. And for those of you who care about comfort, it’s definitely got that. Hello elastic waistband!
This skirt is from Anthropologie, but unfortunately is sold out online, and I would imagine in most stores. I have seen it pop up on eBay quite a bit and I know there is at least one for sale on there now. Search for the Anthropologie Sparrow Revelations Skirt. Happy eBay shopping!

I realize I missed the month of January, and almost half of February, but here I am again! Or I should say I’m here for today; I make no promises for tomorrow. But hey, I’m trying. I’ve got this thing called a job and it takes a lot of my time. A LOT.
Anyway, today is a great day because I am finally wearing my new polka dot tights. Did you read that? Polka dot tights! Wearing tights like these just makes life better.

Got Snow?
Because a little snow never scared me, last night I went to my friend Liz’s house to visit her while we’re both in town. (Liz lives in Chicago.) It really wasn’t that serious of a situation to be out driving, because I didn’t have far to go and I certainly wasn’t going to get stranded on the roads. I did, however, have a bit of a challenge getting home.
When I left her house a little before midnight, the snow had been coming down for hours and had really piled up. Liz, her mom and I went out to do a little shoveling of the driveway so that I wouldn’t get stuck. We cleared enough snow so that I could get out of the driveway, but I had a bit of a hang up once I got onto the street. Stuck.
No worries! Liz’s dad came out with the snow blower and cleared a path so that I could get off the side street they live on and onto the main road. Thanks, Steve!

Last week my office celebrated the season with our office holiday party. Since we had such a great time at El Taco last year, we went again this year. Margaritas and chips & salsa? Can’t go wrong with that! Have I ever mentioned that I can make a meal out of chips & salsa? Below are some party pics.

A couple of weeks ago my friend Lindsay came to town to for the annual Atlanta Santa Pub Crawl. Lindsay used to live in Atlanta and we attended our very first Santa Pub Crawl together about four years ago. It was so much fun that we have now made it an annual occurrence that we won’t miss. It is hands down the best Saturday night in Atlanta all year. Since we have been such regulars to Santa Pub Crawl, we have now started seeing “Santa Friends” that we do not know, do not see, and do not speak to any other time of the year except at the pub crawl. Is it sad or totally awesome that we run into people that we recognize, and who recognize us, from past years? I’m going with awesome.
As expected, this year was another successful Santa Pub Crawl and one for the books. Lindsay claims that this year was her last Santa Pub Crawl and she is retiring. Yep, I’m so sure that’s happening. See you next year, Linds!
