To end my Phoenix trip entries, I thought I would discuss one of my favorite subjects. Food. I ate at some great restaurants while I was in town and I’m still remembering the guacamole, bruschetta and pizza that I ate. I think my scale is remembering as well, but not as fondly as I am.

Barrio Café is an awesome restaurant that serves Southern Mexican cuisine. I’m told Barrio in Spanish basically translates to mean the ghetto, which would be an accurate description of where this restaurant is located. Who cares though! The guacamole was great (although I still think Rosa Mexicano has the best guac) and my Enchiladas de Hongas were so good. Plus they had live musicians at the restaurant the night we were there.

Postino’s has an amazing selection of bruschetta to choose from. I highly recommend the Ricotta with Dates and Pistachios and the Roasted Peppers with Goat Cheese. And to end your meal, the Crème Brulee is heavenly.

My last night in Phoenix was at a local favorite pizza place, Oregano’s. Their menu is huge and the pizza selection is unlimited. We went with Stuffed Pizza and pretty much had to roll ourselves out of the restaurant at the end of the night.
